My photography career began six years ago when I joined my middle school yearbook. Now, as a junior in college at American University, I have six years of experience in photography, 3 on a nationally ranked newspaper staff and 3 as a freelance photographer.

East students attending Project Blue Eagle, a specialty program at the Career and Technical Center, spend their school days training to be future first responders.

Shawnee Mission East's STUCO volunteered at the Johnson County Christmas Bureau, helping load carts full of clothes, food and hygienic supplies into people's cars.
